It's been dreary and rainy all week long, which has prevented me from getting some good pictures of A's new "big girl" room. I randomly got this picture the other day and loved it, although it was with flash during a dark afternoon storm. I hate using flash inside and try to avoid it as much as possible. It tends to remind me of those Mom and Pop restaurant ads with pictures of their best platters, that no matter how delicious they are, always look unappetizing. However, I was pleasantly surprised that this one turned out kind of looking a little vintagey.

Once the weather clears up and offers some pretty natural light, I'll be sure to post more!

Oh, what a gorgeous girl! And a super-cute big girl room, by the way. Great job! :)

Also, those mom and pop menu photos could put you off chicken-fried steak forever.

What a beautiful room, just like it's little occupant.

natural light is a beautiful thing - so is a flash that you can point at the ceiling. Direct flash is a bit of a curse at times... Gorgeous work on that room, though!

That is such a GREAT picture! I hate inside pics too and it has been cold and rainy for like a month! I basically have no good pics since Christmas!

Alison...amazing work, just like I knew it would be. I love how you both love Ava, it's remarkable. You are a beautiful family and you did such a great job with Ava's room. Love the tree, her block lettered name and I really like the curtains & mirror above the kitchen set. Gorgeous!

Alison- What a beautiful room! I'd love to have that room!

Did it really take 4 coats? That means I probably won't have that room.

What a beautiful room. What an inspiration. I love the art hanging on the line, I have pegs like that, we might just adopt that idea.
